Shit Tim Says. Dec 16, 6.27pm
Tim: "I'm going to Sugar tonight. It's at the East hotel."
Tim's colleague: "Where in Hong Kong is that"
Tim's other colleague: "East Hong Kong"
Tim: "Is that why?"

Roasted Chestnut Cookies are going to be in my belly this weekend.
GET IN MY BELLY!MZ Wallace has launched an e-pop up shop for the holiday season with some pretty fantastic stocking stuffers. Browsing the curated selection on the seasonal page is almost like being huddled over a Union Square holiday gift market stall, clutching a cup of hot coca, and feeling festively generous. Almost.

There are a lot of things that make me nostalgic for New York: Traffic, anonymity, brunch, laughing, walking aimlessly, the Fall, crazies...
This week, add to that list: Thanksgiving, pumpkin pie, and catchy tunes (not actually) about Barbara Streisand
This vid has been humming on today's Twitter feed from various cohorts at Ogilvy NY. It's hilarious. And oh, so true.
Let's be clear. With the exception of the occasional game of Wii Tennis, I'm not a gamer by any stretch. So while my visceral reaction to Sony's latest Playstation spot is within "warm/fuzzy" parameters, I'm torn.
Joy. Pleasure. Playfulness. Youth. Yes, all of those are things that I'd like, and would like in a man (let's be honest, this campaign is NOT targeting women). But the flip side, which we see very obviously, is the naivete, the cowardliness, and the lack of focus inherent in Sony's portrayal of Man. Man drink coffee; Man scared of cat; Man like shiny objects; Man cry like baby. Not entirely fair, but also not entirely inaccurate - which I obviously find hilarious.
Joy to the world.

Thank you @lgp23 for reminding me of this gem from Rory Sutherland at Ted.
This Ad Man offers some pretty imaginative ideas: solving the problems of reality by solving the problems of perception. Realistic or not, it's a fun look into why I love advertising:
Lanvin for H&M. A partnership we could only dream of, that we've been waiting very, very patiently for. And now it's here, making its entry with all the quirk and drama that it deserves.
I love the multi-generational nod, not sure how I feel about the "big girl" on the treadmill. But I need her dress.

This seems like an apt summary of Jon Stewart's speech in DC last weekend. Still sorry to have missed it - NOT sorry to kind of love this video. Minus the last 30 seconds.
